Candidate Statement

I have lived in Temecula since 2003.  My wife and I met while serving in the US Navy. We have been married for 37 years and we have two grown children.  I worked my way through college while working nights at Consolidated Freightways in Mira Loma.  I received an associate degree from Mt. San Jacinto college in Menifee, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Cal State San Bernardino.  After receiving my degree, I moved up to Freight Management and then transitioned to Insurance where I worked as an Adjuster, Fraud Investigator and in Claims Management.

I am currently retired and not a politician. The last couple of years have exposed how the heavy hand of government, if not put in check, can degrade individual liberties. I believe in limited government and personal responsibility.  I believe in maintaining local control of zoning where decisions are made, closer to the people. City leaders have a responsibility to ensure equal opportunity exists, while recognizing outcomes will differ.  I support fully funding public safety, strengthening parental rights and defending personal freedom.
